In the past few weeks, people across the nation celebrated the 2023 March for Life in honor of the sanctity and value of the human life of our unborn children.
In Washington DC, over two hundred thousand attended, where one of the keynote speakers was our TV Jesus, Johnathan Roumie of The Chosen series, who gave a powerful speech on defending the life of our babies.
In Sacramento, the capitol city of California, about 1,000 people participated in this annual March for Life, which began with worship, many prayers, and prolife testimonies. One of our local pastors gave a strong message to the church to no longer remain silent.
Over the past twenty years I have attended many of these gatherings, but this year I felt something had changed. This gathering included people of all cultures and many of them were the younger generation. It was exciting to be with such a charged group. During the walk, we were led by a group of young women, leading us in a chant, “We are the ProLife Generation”.
There has come a change in America, with the reversal of Roe vs. Wade. And modern science is able to see inside a pregnant woman’s womb through sonograms and hear the baby’s first signs of life in their heartbeat around 21 days. So we can no longer deny the humanity of an unborn child.
In the Bible tells us, “For You formed my inward parts. You covered me in my mother’s womb. I will praise You, for I am fearfully and wonderfully made. Marvelous are Your works, and that my soul knows very well.” (Psalm 139:13-14). The unborn baby is a living soul, filled with the breath of God.
Over 63 million abortions have occurred since 1973 in the United States, when the Roe vs. Wade decision was handed down in the Supreme Court. In those 50 years we have not only lost them, but three generations of Americans, their descendants. These are the missing workers we are desperate to replace through unlimited immigration.
If we had only seen God’s heart and known that every child is a wanted child in His eyes, with every one of us made in His image for a specific purpose. God tells us children are our heritage and reward, (Psalm 127:3). They are our national treasure and our greatest resource to be valued and protected.
Please come and join us, The National Prayer Council, as we pray for the things dearest to our Lord’s heart. Life is the greatest gift from our Father in Heaven, so we will be joining and agreeing with Jesus Christ, the Lord of Life as we pray.
